Nasal Fracture:

This young adult female was injured in an auto accident.  She underwent reduction of her nose following her recovery a few months later.  The reduction of the dorsum or top of her nose improves the overall balance of her features.  This allows her attractive features to radiate.

Refinement of the dorsum produces nice change.

Nasal surgery or rhinoplasty typically involves the following steps.

Reduction of the dorsal nose or slope
Infracturing of the nasal bones
Alteration of the nasal tip
Shortening of the nose

These steps in the operation leave the top of the nose open in many cases.  Ideally the in fracturing of the nasal bones will close the roof of the nose.  However, in some cases there is the appearance of three bones from the frontal view.  I prefer to replace the dorsum of the nose rather than discard the bone and cartilage after the top of the nose is reduced.

This is an example of the infracturing of the nose which is necessary to avoid a wide appearance to the nose in most cases.

The diagram shows the original bone and cartilage replaced on the top of the nose after it has been reduced in size and made straighter.  This provides a more natural contour to the nose and results in a less operated look.

She also had a chin implant which is a common consideration in those patients who are considering a rhinoplasty.
