The breast reduction is centered around the site selected for placement of the nipple areolar complex.  The site selection is based upon the natural position of the inframammary fold.

The breast is reduced around the new site selected for the nipple.  The breast tissue is then closed around the new nipple site.  With time the scars fade to some degree. 1
